BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing for the election of the members of the Treutlen County
Board of Education, approved March 23, 1972 (Ga. L. 1972, p. 2340), as amended,
particularly by an Act approved March 29, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 4414), so as to
provide for the compensation of the members of the Treutlen County Board of
Education; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for the election of the members of the Treutlen County Board of
Education, approved March 23, 1972 (Ga. L. 1972, p. 2340), as amended,
particularly by an Act approved March 29, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 4414), is
amended by striking subsection (b) of Section 2 in its entirety and inserting in
lieu thereof a new subsection (b) to read as follows:
"(b)
Each member of the Treutlen County Board of Education shall receive $200.00 for
each day of attendance at meetings of the board and while traveling within or
outside the state on official board business as authorized by a majority of the
board, plus the necessary expenses incurred in carrying out his or her official
duties."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
