BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
provide that the board of education of White County shall reimburse any member
of the board for any increase in contributions to the state health benefit plan
he or she is required to pay as a result of the
board́s
decision to allow such coverage for its members; to repeal conflicting laws; and
for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
If
the Board of Education of White County provides that its members may
participate in a health insurance plan established by Article 1 of Chapter 18 of
Title 45 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, and if such action results
in dual eligibility in such plan for any member of the board who is a retired
public employee, then the board shall reimburse such member for any increase in
contributions he or she is required to pay over the amount of contribution he or
she was required to pay for participation as a retired public
employee.
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
