BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing for the DeKalb County Board of Registrations and
Elections, approved June 3, 2003 (Ga. L. 2003, p. 4200), so as to change the
compensation of the members of the board; to provide an effective date; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for the DeKalb County Board of Registrations and Elections,
approved June 3, 2003 (Ga. L. 2003, p. 4200), is amended by striking Section 18
and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"SECTION
18.
Compensation
for members on the board shall be set at $200.00 a month. Said compensation
shall be paid by the governing authority wholly from county
funds."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on July 1, 2005, notwithstanding the provisions of
Code Section 1-3-4.1.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
