A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act creating the State Court of Dougherty County, formerly known as the City Court of Albany, approved December 16, 1897 (Ga. L. 1897, p. 408), as amended, so as to change the provisions relating to the compensation of the judge of the state court; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
An Act creating the State Court of Dougherty County, formerly known as the City Court of Albany, approved December 16, 1897 (Ga. L. 1897, p. 408), as amended, is amended by striking Section 4 of said Act and inserting in its place the following:

"SECTION 4.
The judge of the state court shall receive a annual salary equal to 90 percent of the salary, including local supplement, paid to judges of the Superior Court of Dougherty County, other than the judge senior in term of continuous service."

SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2005.

SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
