A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act creating the office of the County Administrator of Dougherty County, Georgia, approved March 11, 1975 (Ga. L. 1975, p. 2651), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 24, 1988 (Ga. L. 1988, p. 4751), so as to change the contract purchase power of the county administrator; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Act creating the office of the County Administrator of Dougherty County, Georgia, approved March 11, 1975 (Ga. L. 1975, p. 2651), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 24, 1988 (Ga. L. 1988, p. 4751), is amended by striking in its entirety Section 7 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"SECTION 7.
The county administrator shall be the chief purchasing agent for the county, by whom all purchases and supplies and all contracts therefor shall be made, and he or she shall sign all vouchers for the payment of the same under such rules and regulations as the board of commissioners may adopt; provided, however, that no contract purchase or obligation involving over $20,000.00 shall be valid and binding until after approval of the board of commissioners of Dougherty County."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
