BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act entitled "An Act to provide a new charter for the City of Rincon,"
approved April 4, 1997 (Ga. L. 1997, p. 3556), as amended, so as to provide that
the corporate limits of such town shall not include certain property; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act entitled "An Act to provide a new charter for the City of Rincon," approved
April 4, 1997 (Ga. L. 1997, p. 3556), as amended, is amended by inserting at the
end of Section 1.11 a new subsection to read as
follows:
"(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, the following described tract of land shall not constitute a part of the territorial limits of the City of Rincon:
"(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, the following described tract of land shall not constitute a part of the territorial limits of the City of Rincon:
'That
certain tract of land originally annexed into the City of Rincon on or about May
1, 2003, and being more fully described as follows:
"ALL
that certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the city of
Rincon, 9th G.M. District of Effingham County, Georgia, containing One Thousand
Nineteen and 43/100 acres (1,019.43), more or less, and being described as
follows, to wit:
Beginning
at a point at the intersection of the existing City of Rincon city limit line
with the south boundary line of property of Kevin Michael Rahn, said point being
at Georgia State Plane Coordinates, East Zone, NAD 83,N–838256.38,
E-937372.87, THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

Express
reference is hereby made to a plat of said lands made by Leon A. Zippered, Jr.,
Georgia Registered Land Surveyor # 2373, dated July 27, 1990, and recorded in
the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Effingham County, Georgia, in Plat
Book 26, page 45, and to a plat of said lands made by Paul Whitman, County
Surveyor, dated May 3, 1966, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of Superior
Court of Effingham County, Georgia, in Plat Book 3 page 165 for better
determining the metes and bounds of said land herein
described.'"
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
