BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Clayton County Water Authority, approved March 7, 1955
(Ga. L. 1955, p. 3344), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 16,
1999 (Ga. L. 1999, p. 4675), so as to change the compensation of the
chairperson, secretary, and other members of the authority; to provide an
effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Clayton County Water Authority, approved March 7, 1955 (Ga. L.
1955, p. 3344), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 16, 1999 (Ga.
L. 1999, p. 4675), is amended by striking subsection (b) of Section 4 in its
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof a new subsection (b) to read as
follows:
"(b) The chairperson shall be compensated in the amount of $550.00 per month, the secretary $525.00 per month, and each of the other members $500.00 per month which shall be payable out of the earnings of the authority."

SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
