BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the
Recordeŕs
Court of Gwinnett County, approved March 27, 1972 (Ga. L. 1972, p. 3125), as
amended, particularly by an Act approved April 4, 1991 (Ga. L. 1991, p. 4183),
so as to change provisions relating to the qualifications of assistant
solicitors; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the
Recordeŕs
Court of Gwinnett County, approved March 27, 1972 (Ga. L. 1972, p. 3125), as
amended, particularly by an Act approved April 4, 1991 (Ga. L. 1991, p. 4183),
is amended by striking in its entirety subsection (b) of Section 6A, and
inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(b)
The solicitor is authorized to employ assistant solicitors upon approval by the
governing authority of Gwinnett County. Such assistant solicitors shall perform
the same duties as the solicitor and shall be members in good standing with the
State Bar of Georgia. Each assistant
solicitoŕs
salary shall be in such amount as shall be provided by the governing authority
of Gwinnett County and shall be paid by the governing authority of Gwinnett
County."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
