BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 17-6-57 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to bail recovery agents and identification cards, so as to provide additional
requirements for identification cards; to provide for related matters; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 17-6-57 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to bail
recovery agents and identification cards, is amended by striking subsection (c)
and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(c)
Each professional bondsman shall
issue
be
issued a uniform identification card
produced by
the Georgia Association of Professional
Bondsmen to each bail recovery agent
registered by the professional
bondsman.

The
identification card shall include the bail recovery
agent́s
name, height, weight, address, photograph,
and
signature, and
the date of issuance. The identification
card shall also include the
signature
signatures and
names of
all
of the professional
bondsman
bondsmen
who
has
have
registered the bail recovery agent as required in subsection (c) of Code Section
17-6-56. If
an identification card is not renewed annually, it shall expire 12 months from
the date it was issued. The fee for the identification card shall be determined
by the Georgia Association of Professional
Bondsmen. A bail recovery agent shall be
required to carry such identification card while acting in the capacity
as
of
a bail recovery
agent."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
