BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Butts County, approved
February 24, 1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 793), as amended, particularly by an Act
approved March 24, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 3833), so as to change the compensation
of the members of the board; to provide for certain supplements to such
compensation; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Butts County, approved February 24,
1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 793), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March
24, 1994 (Ga. L. 1994, p. 3833), is amended by striking Section 6 and inserting
in lieu thereof the following:
"Section
6. The chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of Butts County shall be
compensated in the amount of $800.00 per month. The remaining members of the
board shall be compensated in the amount of $750.00 per month. If the
chairperson or any member of the board successfully completes the Advanced
Certified Commissioners Training program, such official shall receive
supplemental compensation of $100.00 monthly. Such compensation shall be paid
monthly from county funds. In addition to the compensation provided in this
section, the chairperson and each member of the board shall be reimbursed for
actual and reasonable expenses incurred in conducting the business of the county
or the board when such business is conducted outside the boundaries of the
county. Such expenses shall be reimbursed as incurred following the submission
of supporting
documentation."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
