BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 47-3-1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
definitions relative to the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia, so as to
define a certain term; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 47-3-1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
definitions relative to the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia, is amended by
striking in its entirety paragraph (20) and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
"(20)
'Prior service' means service rendered prior to January 1, 1945, for which
credit is allowable under Code Sections 47-3-83, 47-3-86, and
47-3-87."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
