BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the State Court of Forsyth County, approved April 15, 1996
(Ga. L. 1996, p. 4558), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 1, 2002
(Ga. L. 2002, p. 5579), so as to change the compensation of the judges of the
State Court of Forsyth County; to provide for related matters; to provide for an
effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the State Court of Forsyth County, approved April 15, 1996 (Ga. L.
1996, p. 4558), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 1, 2002 (Ga. L.
2002, p. 5579), is amended by striking Section 16 and inserting in lieu thereof
the following:
"SECTION
16.
Each
judge of the State Court of Forsyth County shall receive as compensation an
amount equal to 95 percent of the state salary plus the county supplement now or
hereafter paid to the judges of the Superior Court of Forsyth County. Such
compensation shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the funds of
Forsyth
County."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
