BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
An Act creating the Miller County Recreation Authority, approved March 25, 1997 (Ga. L. 1997, p. 3533), is amended by striking subsections (b) and (c) of Section 1 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(b) The authority shall consist of nine members with each member appointed by the Board of Commissioners of Miller County as follows: two members shall be members of the Miller County Board of Commissioners; two members shall be members of the Colquitt City Council; two members shall be members of the Miller County Development Authority; two members shall be members or green card holders of the golf course facility formerly known as the Clydesdale Meadows Golf Course; and one member shall be a member of the Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce. Members of the authority shall be subject to the eligibility requirements of Code Section 45-2-1 of the O.C.G.A. All members shall be appointed for terms of office of six years and until a successor is appointed and qualified; provided, however, that should any member of the authority cease to hold his or her position as a member of the Miller County Board of Commissioners, member of the Colquitt City Council, member of the Miller County Development Authority, member or green card holder of the golf course facility, or member of the Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce, as applicable, his or her office as a member of the authority shall be vacated. Immediately after such appointments the members of the authority shall enter upon their duties. Five members of the authority shall constitute a quorum. No vacancy on the authority shall impair the right of a quorum to exercise all of the rights and perform all of the duties of the authority.
(c) Reserved."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
