BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the State Court of Cobb County, approved March 26, 1964
(Ga. L. 1964, p. 3211), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 5, 2005
(Ga. L. 2005, p. 3609), so as to change the compensation of the judges of the
state court; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the State Court of Cobb County, approved March 26, 1964 (Ga. L.
1964, p. 3211), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 5, 2005 (Ga. L.
2005, p. 3609), is amended by striking from Section 23 of Part 1 the
following:
"The
salary of the judges of Division 1 of the State Court of Cobb County shall be
$139,531.46 per
annum.",
and
inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"The
salary of the judges of Division 1 of the State Court of Cobb County shall be
$145,112.71 per
annum."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
