Welcome to the newly revised Georgia House of Representatives Website! The home page and linked pages have been designed and written with the needs of the public served by the House in mind. We are extremely pleased to be able to provide this website for you, and hope that it meets your information needs.

In looking through the various pages, please notice the different House links on the menu bar on the left. At the top you will find our global menu bar that takes you to the House, Senate and joint offices of the Georgia Legislature.

In the House section, take a look at Speaker Coleman's page for information on the elected leader of the House of Representatives. We also have information on the Democratic and Republican leadership in the House.

On the home page you also will find links to the elected representatives of the House, the committees and the staff services. Some of the members may have links to their personal or campaign sites. While we offer these as links, personal member sites are not under the auspice of the State of Georgia, and therefore may contain material or secondary links that may be of a partisan nature.

During the session, we offer links to live broadcasts of the House, as well as electronic media packages for the press corps. The button entitled "Recent Press Releases" will keep you up to date on the latest news from the House.

Finally, especially if you are a student or simply want an update on activities, we have special links to information on legislation drafted by our members that will move through the committee process and may someday become law. The button entitled "How a Bill Becomes a Law" provides a link to information on the legislative process. The button called "Clerk's Office" offers an updated list of all legislation in the House.
