A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend Code Section 28-2-2 of the Official Code of Georgia
1- 2 Annotated, relating to apportionment and qualifications for
1- 3 the Senate, so as to provide for the description of
1- 4 senatorial districts 1, 2, 34, and 44; to provide for
1- 5 related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal
1- 6 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
1- 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
1- 8 SECTION 1.
1- 9 Code Section 28-2-2 of the Official Code of Georgia
1-10 Annotated, relating to apportionment and qualifications for
1-11 the Senate, is amended by striking the description of
1-12 senatorial districts 1, 2, 34, and 44 which are described in
1-13 the paragraph immediately following the second sentence of
1-14 subsection (a) thereof and inserting in its place the
1-15 description of senatorial districts 1, 2, 34, and 44
1-16 attached to this Act and made a part hereof and further
1-17 identified as: "Operator: state Client: senate
1-18 Plan: sb109am2."
1-19 SECTION 2.
1-20 This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the
1-21 Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval.
1-22 SECTION 3.
1-23 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
1-24 repealed.
