State Representative Michele Henson has worked hard for her constituents at the capitol since 1991 to make sure the 65th House District remains a good place to live, work and raise families. Having lived in the Flintridge Forrest subdivision off Memorial Drive since 1980, Rep. Henson is no stranger to the needs of her district.
Rep. Henson continues to fight steadfastly to preserve the natural beauty of Stone Mountain Park against the effects of privatization. She has a solid record of consumer protection in her work in the House Insurance Committee and has been at the forefront to pass consumer oriented health care measures.
Active in her community, Rep. Henson serves as a Board Member of Pride Rings in Stone Mountain (PRISM) and A.R.T. Station. She also is active on the Memorial Drive Revitalization Project Steering Committee, the Stone Mountain Women's Club, Women in Government, League of Women Voters, and DeKalb Convention Center Authority (Treasurer).
Rep. Henson holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Miami and is Director of Public Affairs for Bio Medical Disposal in Norcross.
