                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                               AN ACT


  1- 1  To amend an Act creating the State Court of Burke County,
  1- 2  formerly the City Court of Waynesboro, approved August 15,
  1- 3  1903 (Ga. L. 1903, p. 174), as amended, particularly by an
  1- 4  Act approved March 10, 1988 (Ga. L. 1988, p. 3863), so as to
  1- 5  change the compensation of the judge of such court; to
  1- 6  provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and
  1- 7  for other purposes.

  1- 8       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

                         SECTION 1.

  1- 9  An Act creating the State Court of Burke County, formerly
  1-10  the City Court of Waynesboro, approved August 15, 1903 (Ga.
  1-11  L. 1903, p. 174), as amended, particularly by an Act
  1-12  approved March 10, 1988 (Ga. L. 1988, p. 3863), is amended
  1-13  by striking subsection (a) of Section 4A and inserting in
  1-14  lieu thereof a new subsection (a) to read as follows:

  1-15    "(a) The judge of the court shall receive an annual salary
  1-16    in the amount of $16,000.00."

                         SECTION 2.

  1-17  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 1995.

                         SECTION 3.

  1-18  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
  1-19  repealed.
