                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Expressing regret at the passing of Kyle Wayne Dinkheller; 
  1- 2  and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the citizens of Laurens County tragically lost a 
  1- 4  superb law enforcement officer in the line of duty on 
  1- 5  January 12, 1998, and the memory of Deputy Kyle Wayne 
  1- 6  Dinkheller will long be held in high esteem by his 
  1- 7  community; and 
 
  1- 8  WHEREAS, Kyle Wayne Dinkheller was born just 22 years ago in 
  1- 9  San Diego, California, and graduated from Quartz Hill High 
  1-10  School in Quartz Hill, California, in 1993; and 
 
  1-11  WHEREAS, in March, 1995, Kyle Wayne Dinkheller began working 
  1-12  in the Laurens County Sheriff's Department as a jailer; and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, Kyle Wayne Dinkheller successfully completed basic 
  1-14  law enforcement training and was certified as a peace 
  1-15  officer by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training 
  1-16  Council in 1996; and 
 
  1-17  WHEREAS, Kyle Wayne Dinkheller advanced quickly through the 
  1-18  ranks of the Laurens County Sheriff's Department, as he was 
  1-19  promoted to Basic Patrol Officer in July, 1996, and then 
  1-20  made an integral part of the department's newly formed 
  1-21  Interstate Criminal Enforcement team in July, 1997; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, Deputy Kyle Wayne Dinkheller consistently 
  1-23  demonstrated the highest professional standards in 
  1-24  conducting his official duties and served as a model to his 
  1-25  fellow law enforcement personnel; and 
 
  1-26  WHEREAS, Kyle Wayne Dinkheller was a loving and devoted 
  1-27  husband to his wife, Angela, and an attentive and doting 
  1-28  father to his eighteen-month old daughter, Ashley, and he 
  1-29  will be sorely missed by his family and friends. 
 
  1-30  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-31  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express their 
  1-32  deep regret at the passing of Kyle Wayne Dinkheller and 
  1-33  convey their sincerest sympathy to the members of his 
  1-34  family.

  2- 1  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  2- 2  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  2- 3  appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Kyle
