                             A RESOLUTION 
  1- 1  Expressing sympathy at the passing of Honorable Boze 
  1- 2  Johnson, Jr.; and for other purposes. 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, on Friday, March 13, 1998, the citizens of Glascock 
  1- 4  County and the State of Georgia were saddened by the passing 
  1- 5  of Honorable Boze Johnson, Jr.; and 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, he was a native of Glascock County, was a former 
  1- 7  councilmember of the Town of Mitchell, and served with 
  1- 8  distinction, dedication, and ability as chairman of the 
  1- 9  Board of Commissioners of Glascock County; and 
  1-10  WHEREAS, he was a loyal member of Friendship Baptist Church, 
  1-11  where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and 
  1-12  music director, and was founder of the Glascock County 
  1-13  Ministerial Association; and 
  1-14  WHEREAS, he was an honorary member and former president of 
  1-15  the National Jaycees; and 
  1-16  WHEREAS, he served the people of Glascock County as a 
  1-17  substitute rural mail carrier; and 
  1-18  WHEREAS, he was the devoted husband of Mrs. Barbara E. 
  1-19  Johnson and the father of four outstanding children, 
  1-20  Benjamin Joseph Johnson, Barry Joel Johnson, Brenda J. 
  1-21  Parsons, and Beverly J. Griswold. 
  1-23  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express their 
  1-24  deepest regret at the passing of Honorable Boze Johnson, 
  1-25  Jr., and extend their sincerest sympathy to the members of 
  1-26  his family. 
  1-27  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-28  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-29  appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of 
  1-30  Honorable Boze Johnson, Jr.
