                             A RESOLUTION 
  1- 1  Commending Stacy Hunt; and for other purposes. 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Stacy Hunt, a senior at Sprayberry High School, is 
  1- 3  one of the nation's most outstanding women's soccer players; 
  1- 4  and 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, her winning combination of talent, determination, 
  1- 6  love for the game, and unselfishness infuses her game with 
  1- 7  intensity and power and has earned her national recognition 
  1- 8  as a member of the Parade magazine All American team; and 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, in addition, she was named the "Gatorade Women's 
  1-10  Soccer Player of the Year" for the State of Georgia, 
  1-11  received the Umbro NSCAA All American honors, and was 
  1-12  honored as the Kennesaw State University High School Woman 
  1-13  Athlete of the Year; and 
  1-14  WHEREAS, her brilliant play was instrumental in leading her 
  1-15  Sprayberry High School team to the state championship in 
  1-16  1996; and 
  1-17  WHEREAS, the Tophat Soccer Club for which she plays has 
  1-18  claimed the state championship for the past three years and 
  1-19  recently won prestigious tournaments in Washington, D.C., 
  1-20  and Miami, Florida; and 
  1-21  WHEREAS, in addition to her genius as a soccer player, Stacy 
  1-22  is an excellent basketball player and a superlative student; 
  1-23  and 
  1-24  WHEREAS, she is the daughter of proud and loving parents, 
  1-25  Robert and Robyn Hunt, and plans to continue her education 
  1-26  and devotion to soccer at the University of Georgia. 
  1-28  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Stacy 
  1-29  Hunt for her accomplishments as an athlete and a student and 
  1-30  express sincere best wishes for her success and happiness in 
  1-31  the future. 
  1-32  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-33  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-34  appropriate copy of this resolution to Stacy Hunt.
