                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Congratulating Honorable Charles C. Clay and his wife, 
  1- 2  Sarah, on the birth of their son; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, on Monday, March 9, 1998, our friend and colleague 
  1- 4  in the Georgia State Senate from District 37, Honorable 
  1- 5  Charles "Chuck" Clay, and his lovely wife, Sarah, became the 
  1- 6  proud parents of a healthy baby boy; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, this newborn will bear the name Charles "Charlie" 
  1- 8  C. Clay, Jr., in honor of his father who is naturally 
  1- 9  delighted over the birth of his first son; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, few events in the life of any married couple equal 
  1-11  the joy and excitement that accompany the birth of a child; 
  1-12  and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, in this instance, the newborn is the first child 
  1-14  from this marriage, and his birth is cause for much 
  1-15  celebration and great happiness; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, Charlie Clay weighed 6 lbs. and 7 oz. and measured 
  1-17  19 inches at birth and, aside from having his days and 
  1-18  nights reversed, this glorious baby is a bundle of joy. 
 
  1-19  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-20  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate 
  1-21  Honorable Charles C. Clay and his wife, Sarah, on the joyous 
  1-22  occasion of the birth of their son and convey to them their 
  1-23  heartiest congratulations and sincerest best wishes. 
 
  1-24  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-25  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-26  appropriate copy of this resolution to Honorable Charles C.
