                             A RESOLUTION 
  1- 1  Proclaiming the play "The Legend of Lydia" the "Official 
  1- 2  Play of the Okefenokee"; and for other purposes. 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, "The Legend of Lydia" is produced each summer by 
  1- 4  Trembling Earth Productions; and 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, the play is the true, fascinating, and vastly 
  1- 6  entertaining rendering of the life and times of a Ware 
  1- 7  County legend whose colorful and hilarious antics have 
  1- 8  entered the realm of folklore; and 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, set amidst the natural visual and melodic beauty of 
  1-10  the outdoor amphitheater located at the Okefenokee Swamp 
  1-11  Park, the production attracted over 2,000 people in 1997; 
  1-12  and 
  1-13  WHEREAS, the 1998 show, which is already in production with 
  1-14  a larger and improved cast, promises to be an even bigger 
  1-15  attraction; and 
  1-16  WHEREAS, John D. Youmans, President of Trembling Earth 
  1-17  Productions, is dedicated to producing the best, most 
  1-18  entertaining play possible. 
  1-20  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend John 
  1-21  D. Youmans and Trembling Earth Productions, and proclaim 
  1-22  "The Legend of Lydia" the "Official Play of the Okefenokee." 
  1-23  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-24  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-25  appropriate copy of this resolution to John D. Youmans.
