                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, so as to 
  1- 2  correct typographical, stylistic, capitalization, 
  1- 3  punctuation, and other errors and omissions in the Official 
  1- 4  Code of Georgia Annotated and in Acts of the General 
  1- 5  Assembly amending the Official Code of Georgia Annotated; to 
  1- 6  reenact the statutory portion of the Official Code of 
  1- 7  Georgia Annotated, as amended; to provide for necessary or 
  1- 8  appropriate revisions and modernizations of matters 
  1- 9  contained in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated; to 
  1-10  provide for and to correct citations in the Official Code of 
  1-11  Georgia Annotated and other codes and laws of the state; to 
  1-12  rearrange, renumber, and redesignate provisions of the 
  1-13  Official Code of Georgia Annotated; to provide for other 
  1-14  matters relating to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated; 
  1-15  to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; 
  1-16  and for other purposes. 
 
  1-17       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

  1-21  Title 2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating 
  1-22  to agriculture, is amended as follows: 
 
  1-23      (1) By deleting the comma following "representations" in 
  1-24      paragraph (13) of Code Section 2-11-21, relating to 
  1-25      definitions relative to sale and transportation of 
  1-26      seeds. 
 
  1-27      (2) By inserting "subsection" preceding "(d)" and "(j)" 
  1-28      in the introductory language of subsection (c), by 
  1-29      deleting "and" at the end of subparagraph (d)(10)(A), by 
  1-30      striking "Code Section 2-11-22" and inserting in lieu 
  1-31      thereof "this Code section" in paragraph (5) of 
  1-32      subsection (e), by striking "eight point" and inserting 
  1-33      in lieu thereof "eight-point" in subparagraph (f)(4)(D),

  2-19      2-12-8, relating to inspection fees, quarterly report, 
  2-20      collection penalty, and the effect of failure to file a

  2-23  Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating 
  2-24  to alcoholic beverages, is amended as follows: 
 
  2-25      (1) By striking "state of Georgia" and inserting in lieu 
  2-26      thereof "State of Georgia" in Code Section 3-3-31, 
  2-27      relating to legislative findings of violations of 
  2-28      shipments of alcoholic beverages by persons in other 
  2-29      states or countries to residents of this state. 
 
  2-30      (2) By striking "state of Georgia" and inserting in lieu 
  2-31      thereof "State of Georgia" in subsection (a) of Code 
  2-32      Section 3-3-32, relating to shipment of alcoholic 
  2-33      beverages into the state by nonresident, without 
  2-34      license, who is in business of selling alcoholic 
  2-35      beverages in another state. 
 
  2-36      (3) By striking "center" and inserting in lieu thereof 
  2-37      "coliseum" three times in subsection (c) of Code Section 
  2-38      3-8-5, relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages at 
  2-39      coliseums during professional sports events.

 20-28  Except for Title 47, the text of Code sections and title, 
 20-29  chapter, article, part, subpart, Code section, subsection,

 20-32  Georgia Annotated published under authority of the state by 
 20-33  the Michie Company in 1982 and contained in Volumes 3 
 20-34  through 40 of such publication or replacement volumes 
 20-35  thereto, as amended by the text and numbering of Code 
 20-36  sections as contained in the 1997 supplements to the 
 20-37  Official Code of Georgia Annotated published under authority 
 20-38  of the state in 1997 by the Michie Company, is reenacted and 
 20-39  shall have the effect of statutes enacted by the General

 21- 1  Revision Commission notes; research references; notes on law 
 21- 2  review articles; opinions of the Attorney General of 
 21- 3  Georgia; indexes; analyses; title, chapter, article, part, 
 21- 4  and subpart captions or headings, except as otherwise 
 21- 5  provided in the Code; catchlines of Code sections or 
 21- 6  portions thereof, except as otherwise provided in the Code; 
 21- 7  and rules and regulations of state agencies, departments, 
 21- 8  boards, commissions, or other entities which are contained 
 21- 9  in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated are not enacted as 
 21-10  statutes by the provisions of this Act.  Material which has 
 21-11  been added in brackets or parentheses and editorial, delayed 
 21-12  effective date, effect of amendment, or other similar notes 
 21-13  within the text of a Code section by the editorial staff of 
 21-14  the publisher in order to explain or to prevent a 
 21-15  misapprehension concerning the contents of the Code section 
 21-16  and which is explained in an editorial note is not enacted 
 21-17  by the provisions of this section and shall not be 
 21-18  considered a part of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. 
 21-19  The reenactment of the statutory portion of the Official 
 21-20  Code of Georgia Annotated by this Act shall not affect, 
 21-21  supersede, or repeal any Act of the General Assembly, or 
 21-22  portion thereof, which is not contained in the Official Code 
 21-23  of Georgia Annotated and which was not repealed by Code 
 21-24  Section 1-1-10, specifically including those Acts which have 
 21-25  not yet been included in the text of the Official Code of 
 21-26  Georgia Annotated because of effective dates which extend 
 21-27  beyond the effective date of the Code or the publication 
 21-28  date of the Code or its supplements.  The provisions 
 21-29  contained in other sections of this Act and in the other 
 21-30  Acts enacted at the 1998 regular session of the General 
 21-31  Assembly of Georgia shall supersede the provisions of the 
 21-32  Official Code of Georgia Annotated reenacted by this 
 21-33  section. 
 
 21-34                          SECTION 55. 
 
 21-35  This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the 
 21-36  Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval. 
 
 21-37                          SECTION 56. 
 
 21-38  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
