First Reader Summary

A BILL to amend Code Section 48-2-56 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to liens for taxes, so as to provide that in any case where an ad valorem tax lien exists on tangible personal property which is included in the inventory of a business enterprise and a creditor assumes possession of and sells such property to satisfy a debt, the creditor shall be liable for any ad valorem taxes due on such property to the extent of any proceeds that are derived from the sale; and for other purposes.
