HB 575 LC 21 3157 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT 1- 1 To amend an Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Ben 1- 2 Hill County, approved August 15, 1914 (Ga. L. 1914, p. 232), 1- 3 as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 3, 1972 1- 4 (Ga. L. 1972, p. 3475), so as to change the compensation of 1- 5 the chairperson and commissioners of such board; to repeal 1- 6 conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 1- 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. 1- 8 An Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Ben Hill 1- 9 County, approved August 15, 1914 (Ga. L. 1914, p. 232), as 1-10 amended, particularly by an Act approved April 3, 1972 (Ga. 1-11 L. 1972, p. 3475), is amended by striking in its entirety 1-12 Section 14 and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "SECTION 14. 1-13 The chairperson of the board shall be paid a sum 1-14 determined by the board; provided, however, that such sum 1-15 shall not be less than $200.00 per month nor more than 1-16 $600.00 per month. Each commissioner other than the 1-17 chairperson shall be paid a sum determined by the board; 1-18 provided, however, that such sum shall not be less than 1-19 $150.00 per month nor more than $500.00 per month." SECTION 2. 1-20 This Act shall become effective on the first day of the 1-21 month following the month in which it is approved by the 1-22 Governor or in which it becomes law without such approval. SECTION 3. 1-23 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 1-24 repealed. -1- (Index)
